Independent Telephone Network's ITN T-406-1-SQ - Square Crimp Heavy-Duty Crimping Tool are designed to crimp battery terminals and cable lugs 3/0-4/0 Gauge. The square crimp design provides multiple benefits over traditional tools. Square crimps require less force to complete the crimp to UL tensile values, so the user will not tire as readily. They enable two stage crimping, by crimping in a larger cavity first, which reduces crimping force and makes crimping easier, and square crimps are also less susceptible than hex crimps to going off center and pinching the cable.
